He was put at the end of an entrance corridor leading to temple by monks nearby Khao San road. A place where many tourists pass by. At first I thought he s supposed to lure tourists to donate for him, but that didnt seem to be the case. I guess, they put him there, so he can be occupied by watching the tourists passing by.
